Tree Removal

When trees become damaged or old, they begin to threaten the safety of you and your property. Our Crane-Mounted Grapple Saw-

Taking down a tree with a grapple saw truck is the safest and most efficient method of tree removal. This versatile equipment allows us to remove trees in tight spaces and in locations where there is not a safe place to drop or lower large branches. It also allows us to remove old, damaged, and dangerous trees that cannot be climbed because the need for climbing, rigging, and cutting by hand is eliminated.

Our crane-mounted grapple saw is operated remotely, which means we often do not need to climb trees- making our tree removal process significantly safer for us and for you. Using this equipment lessens any impact on your property and reduces time on your property, which means we are able to offer our professional tree removal services at an affordable price.

Tree Trimming
& Pruning

Dead or aging branches can cause injury to people or property. They can also compromise the health of your trees and shrubs. For this reason, we encourage our customers to consider professional tree trimming and pruning to keep trees growing in a safe, healthy and aesthetically pleasing fashion. Proper trimming and tree pruning also helps control disease and insect infestation.

 

Pruning is used to remove unnecessary branches.

Pruning is an important part of tree maintenance and at times, pruning becomes essential for the safety of your trees. In some cases, branches grow in the wrong direction. They push towards electrical utility wires or structures. Pruning helps keep unwanted growth in check.

Newly planted trees should also be pruned to compensate for root loss and to begin training the tree for shape.

 

Trimming, on the other hand, promotes healthy growth.

Proper trimming improves tree health by eliminating dead or dying branches.  These branches are often somewhat dangerous, so removing them reduces the risk of harm to your family and damage to your property.  Trimming also prevents further decay and enhances the overall appearance and structure of the tree, which prevents the development of broad or weak branches.

Stump Grinding

When removing a tree stump, you want minimal property damage and safe operations. Stump grinding is dangerous- it requires experience and the right equipment. To remove a tree stump from your property, a stump grinder is used in order to chew away at the stump wood that is left over after a tree has been cut down. Stump grinders use a powerful, rotating blade that cuts the stump wood into small pieces. All surface roots and mounded areas are ground down and all that is left is a hole in the ground.

 

Why grind the stump?

After having a tree cut down, the stump doesn’t always have to be removed; however, a leftover stump is not only unappealing but it can become a safety hazard.

  • Some tree stumps will attempt to regrow, sending up thin stems that get bigger every year. These new sprouts are a a trees natural response after its trunk has been cut down; however, none of this growth is useful, nor will it make a new, healthy tree. These sprouts turn into branches that will need to be cut down repeatedly each year until the tree exhausts its energy reserves. A stump grinder ensures that your tree stump won’t re-sprout around its perimeter.

  • A leftover tree stump will begin to rot, attracting different kinds of organisms such as harmful fungi that could potentially spread to your nearby trees and plants. Not to mention, insect pests including termites and carpenter ants love a dead or rotting stump.

  • After trees are cut down, the tree stump is left well above ground level. Not only are these stumps a tripping hazard but they get in the way of your lawn mower. As time passes and the stump starts to decay, it can cause soft, sunken spots in your lawn.

Snow accumulation and the weight of ice during the winter can be equally damaging, resulting in failure of branches and entire trees. These extreme weather conditions that rip through our area submit our trees to frequent battering, sometimes with devastating results- branches snap off, trees split apart, roots pull out of waterlogged soil, and trees topple over onto homes, cars, buildings, wires, and other trees.
